Stephenson Crystal RC soap base is a plant-based soap base made with stearic rapeseed oil, coconut oil, and coconut derivatives, and is SLS and SLES-free. This soap base is used to make translucent soap bars. Crystal RC (Palm Free) is palm oil-free.
The "RC" in this base's name stands for rapeseed and coconut oils, which, when combined, make this base palm oil-free and neutral in color and odor. It's a pale, translucent honey color and can, of course, be colored.
The new formulation has undergone further testing and has improved its quality and suitability for soap makers and their needs. It has excellent foaming properties and a clear, even color, suitable for making transparent soaps. Its delicate scent ensures a perfect fragrance effect!
It has been tested for basic soap making, embedding, layering, whipping, and swirling. It has proven to be a reliable and versatile product. It has a higher melting point (55-60°C) and sets much harder than our other Melt and Pour soap bases.
