Hulled hemp seeds. 50g pack.

Hulled hemp seeds not only add a more balanced and complete flavor to cereals, bread, desserts, and other foods, but they're also used as a garnish on salads, vegetables, or desserts. Roasting them produces a delicious, nutty flavor that adds a touch of spice to many dishes.

Hemp seeds contain 20 amino acids , including all the essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids . They are a wonderful addition to a healthy, balanced diet. Hemp seeds can be used as a salad dressing or as a base for sauces.

They are also cholesterol-free and gluten-free.

Removing the outer shell of the seed makes the seeds soft and easy to mix into any dish without altering the feel in the mouth;
They are excellent toasted , alone or together with other seeds, and can be used to flavour salads, vegetables and first courses.
Hemp seeds can also be used to make an excellent plant-based milk , or they can be blended, alone or with other seeds, to obtain a smooth mixture with a delicate flavor, reminiscent of butter, to spread or use as a condiment on bruschetta or to flavor your dishes.

To obtain the flavour and preserve the nutrients of the seed, it is recommended not to heat above 180°C.

Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume by the expiry date.

The important nutritional value of hemp

Hemp seeds, which never contain THC (the active ingredient in marijuana), are one of nature's most perfectly balanced food sources and represent the plant food with the highest nutritional value. They can be used to prepare delicious meals that guarantee a good supply of vitamin E, amino acids, and essential fatty acids, thus ensuring a strong and healthy body, a well-functioning immune system, well-being, and vital energy.

Hemp seeds have a protein content of 20-25%, while hemp oil, which accounts for approximately 30% of hemp seeds, contains approximately 75% essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as linoleic (omega-6) and linolenic (omega-3) acids, in the right proportions to promote cell turnover. They also contain 2% to 4% gamma-linolenic acid, which contributes to the maintenance of the hormonal system and lipid metabolism, as well as being essential in the synthesis of prostaglandins, substances that regulate the activity of numerous glands, muscles, and nerve receptors. Thanks to their high concentration of fatty acids, hemp seeds are valuable for combating and preventing various ailments, including arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis, respiratory diseases (such as asthma, sinusitis, and tracheitis), eczema, and acne.

Hemp seeds are rich in lecithin, known as "brain food," and important minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. Their carbohydrate content is also noteworthy, giving them a high energy value (516kcal per 100g).

“No food can compare to hemp in nutritional value. Half a kilo of hemp seeds provides all the protein, essential fatty acids, and fiber necessary for human life for two weeks.”
